Werina was taken over from Bernhard Groeneveld, who moved his horses to our stables when he gave up his own stables.  Werina attracted a lot of attention in 2001, when she won the loose jumping cup in Pellheim and convinced everyone with her jumping technique, her coolness, and quick reactions.

Her sire Saint Cloud has a biography of ups and downs.  Reserve champion of his licensing, 195.000 price highlight of the respective auction, towering the dressage/rideability part of his stallion performance test, and Trakehner vice champion of the young riding horses.  He was fostered in breeding like no other stallion of his breed by that time.  All this was followed by quite a number of new homes, but is was only Karin Rehbein, who made this stallion shine in the dressage arena - some nice Grand Prix placements included.  Among his offspring Latimer was the undisputed crown prince, both in sports and breeding.  Saint Cloud's most successfull offspring in sports most probably is Hans Heiner Held's four-star eventer Salino TSF.

Werina's dam Wippe III belongs to the Wally dam family that Heinrich Rosigkeit preserved for the breed.  Wally was a solid, heavy loyal worker of medium size, recognizably stamped by her grandsire, highly renowned Ararad from Trakehnen main stud.  Wally founded three dam families in Western Germany through her daughters: Wachau by Totilas in Nannhofen stud, Willa by Semper Idem in Schmoel stud and Wachparade by Totilas with the Zitzewitz and Theisen breeder families.

Before we sold her to Austria, Werina became the dam of two excellent foals:

Willow ("Wunderschön") by Cadeau
Warowski ("Wladimir") by Imperio
